Fulham complete double swoop for Kurzawa and former Chelsea playmaker Willian

Fulham have confirmed the signing of former Chelsea playmaker Willian on a free transfer, as well as completing a loan move for Paris Saint-Germain s Layvin Kurzawa.

Willian, who left Corinthians in August after receiving death threats, had re-joined the Brazilian side last year when he had his contract with Arsenal terminated.

The 34-year-old only spent a year at Emirates Stadium, having failed to come close to replicating the success he enjoyed in a seven-season stint at Chelsea.

Willian, who has penned a one-year deal, has now made the return to London with Fulham, who have enjoyed a bright start to the Premier League season under Marco Silva.

Olá, Willian!  |

World Cup Group neither ´death nor life´ – Brazil boss Tite

Tite says Brazil were dealt with neither the group of death nor of life after they were drawn to face Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon in the 2022 World Cup.

The Selecao faced Switzerland and Serbia in the last World Cup in Russia four years ago, so there was a sense of deja vu when the draw was made in Doha on Friday.

As the top-ranked side in the world, Brazil will be expected to win Group G, which also includes Cameroon.

But Brazil boss Title says there will be no room for complacency.

He told reporters: It is neither [the group] of death nor of life. Everything is the same [as Brazil’s group at Russia 2018] – all that was missing was Costa Rica!

We re talking about Switzerland and Serbia, the teams who stopped Italy and Portugal, and…

Everton 2-1 Arsenal: Stunning Gray strike snatches last-gasp victory

Demarai Gray s stoppage-time wonder goal saw Everton snatch a dramatic 2-1 victory over Arsenal and relieve the pressure on boss Rafael Benitez.

Martin Odegaard put the Gunners in front just before half-time at Goodison Park with a neat volley from Kieran Tierney s cross.

But despite twice being denied by VAR, Richarlison equalised with 10 minutes remaining, before Gray completed the turnaround with a stunning 25-yard effort in the second minute of stoppage time.

Now without a win in four Premier League visits to Goodison, Mikel Arteta’s side missed the chance to return to fifth place in the table.

Everton were unbeaten in their three previous home games against Arsenal in the Premier League and made a bright start to proceedings.

Casillas and Suarez critical of VAR after World Cup final

Spain legend Iker Casillas and Barcelona forward Luis Suarez have criticised VAR following its controversial use in Sunday s World Cup final.

France were given a contentious free-kick against that led to their first goal, and were later awarded a penalty for an Ivan Perisic handball that Croatia argued was not deliberate.

Referring to the first incident, Casillas   world champion in 2010  said on Twitter: Honestly, I do not understand the use of VAR very well. The referee points out a foul that is not on Griezmann. Goal to France in that action. Nothing happens.

Suarez, whose Uruguay side were knocked out by France in the quarter-finals, replied to Casillas saying: You are right Iker, and apart from that Pogba s offside and  participates in the pla…

Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Bordeaux: Messi and Neymar targeted by their own fans in resounding win

Lionel Messi and Neymar felt the wrath of Paris Saint-Germain fans as the Ligue 1 leaders moved 15 points clear at the top of the table with a 3-0 win over bottom side Bordeaux.

Boos and whistles were aimed at Messi, Neymar and their team-mates before and during the clash at the Parc des Princes, four days after PSG were dumped out of the Champions League by Real Madrid.

Kylian Mbappe was not targeted, despite reportedly being bound for Madrid, and the in-form striker opened the scoring on Sunday with his 26th goal of the season.

Neymar then responded to abuse from his own supporters by scoring in the second half and Leandro Paredes was also on target, with Messi involved in all three goals and also hitting the post as Mauricio Pochettino s side ended a tough we…

Contrasting reports about Liverpool pursuing Mbappe

There has been much speculation about the future of Kylian Mbappe, whose contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the season.

The France captain was strongly linked with Real Madrid throughout the summer, but the Spanish giants reportedly didn t want to meet PSG s financial demands and decided to wait for the chance to get the transfer done without compensation in 2024. Since then, there have been claims that Real have given up, opening the door for other potential suitors to swoop in.

With Real seemingly out of the picture, Liverpool are one of clubs mentioned. According to , the Reds would simply love to sign Mbappe, but they would have to sell their current main attacker, Mohamed Salah, to be able to afford it. On the other hand, Jaque Talbot of claim…
